3 Days 2 Nights Itinerary in Kuching, Sarawak – Part I

This is a post on my latest Kuching trip during mid-Aug 2017, my third time visiting and still lovin’it. Continue reading to see my suggested 3 Days 2 Nights itinerary for Kuching.

Day 1

Our flight was around 9 am in the morning. We drove and park our car at Putrajaya Sentral Car Park and took ERL Transit to KLIA2, which is RM9.40 per person per trip. If you pay using your Maybank credit card (there was this promo), the ticket fee was only RM8.50, it took us 20 minutes to reach the airport.

Fast forward to Kuching International Airport, it was about 12 noon, we picked up our rented car and headed to our first place for Kolo Mee, at Swee Sen Cafe. We stopped at this cafe for lunch as it was on the way to Semenggoh Nature Reserve.

Satisfaction level : ♦♦♦

The Kolo Mee here is okay as I think it is abit dry. It tasted better when I eat it with the soup.

Classic Dining Restaurant, 玲珑轩 Ipoh

Looking for a place for fine Chinese food, air-conditioned, elegant and good service in Ipoh? Look no further than Classic Dining Restaurant 玲珑轩!! (pronounced as Ling-Long-Xuan). This restaurant is rather new, probably less than 2 years, serving Chinese delicacies with a local twist. Outside the restaurant hangs with very big Chinese lanterns, and the interior is decorated with elegant woody furniture and antiques.

Me and my family have been here twice for both lunch and dinner which they serve the same menu. It is better to make reservation before coming to avoid disappointments. Haha.. During our first visit for dinner, we came here around 6pm with booking.

This dish below here is a GuangXi-dish, known as “Wu Tao Kao Yok”, braised-pork with yam. Strong flavored of chinese 5-spices (五香)

Satisfactory level : ♦♦♦

Indonesian-style Squid, spicy and fresh

Satisfaction level : ♦♦♦

Ma-Po Tofu, a little tangy spicy and sweetness

Satisfaction level : ♦♦♦

Thai-styled Fried Fish fillet, this is by far the best and my favourite

Satisfaction level : ♦♦♦♦♦

Mixed-vegetable, a dish to balance out our meat intake..haha..

Burgers Burgers

Burgers have always been my favourite western food apart from all the chops and chips. It is also quite a challenge and skillful thing in order to hold and eat a burger appropriately, so you minimise the messiness on your… Read More »Burgers Burgers

Sweet Stuff – Dessert Places, KL

Generally, I am not a sweet tooth but I don’t mind an occasional dessert treating for myself and have discovered these places worth sharing.

1) Shugatori, Damansara Uptown

This place serves very decent waffle with ice-cream toppings. Very cozy and elegant environment, suit for hanging out and chatting. This waffle is their signature waffle with contrast-colour like yin-yang. (~RM23)

Satisfaction level : ♦♦♦♦

Well of course they do also serve other type of waffle which I have yet to try, and they also have very nice coffee too!
